Maximum compaction with the styrofoam recycling machine

Styrofoam is compacted into briquettes and reduced in volume by up to 97 percent.
The StyroPress polystyrene press compacts loose EPS (airpop®) by up to 97 percent, thus creating significantly more space in the warehouse and maximizing transport capacity.

Your advantages
  • Simple and safe compaction of polystyrene
  • No operating personnel required
  • Insertion of large shapes and quantities
  • Combination of shredder and press
  • Highest briquette density without material heating
  • Small footprint of the machine
  • High compression for maximum transport utilization
  • Continuous operation 24/7 possible

The StyroPress styrofoam recycling machine has a 120 x 250 cm feed opening, which is large enough to comfortably feed the material into it. From there, the material is transported to the shredder shafts. From the shredder, the shredded polystyrene is transported by the machines’ screw conveyors, via an intermediate storage tank, into the press chamber. Here, the material is compressed with a pressing force of 250 kN into highly compacted briquettes with a density of up to 700 kg per m³.

The StyroPress works without material heating and can be used in continuous operation 24/7. Via an ejector, the briquettes finally reach a collecting container. Upon request, the installation of big boxes is also possible. The intermediate storage of the machines can also be expanded if required. The machine’s automated concept also means that no operating personnel are required. With a small footprint of 7 m² and a dB(A) of less than 78, it can be installed directly at the material accumulation site.

Styrofoam is one of the recyclables that takes up the most space. As the material consists largely of air, transportation is cost-intensive. For comparison: Without compression by the machines, only 800 kg of loose material can be transported per truck or container. By using this product, the resulting briquettes fill truck and sea containers with up to 24 tons.
